Aidan is a woodworker at Smith & Vallee Cabinetmakers in Edison, WA. Originally from Pennsylvania, he found the beauty of trail running in 2022 while working in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Experiencing nature while pushing hard on his own two feet got him hooked immediately. Outside of running, he’s drawn to art and creative expression. He enjoys carving wooden utensils, earrings, and other small knickknacks, and has recently begun exploring poetry and block printing. Along with creative work and running, he loves experiencing nature in any way he can.
Aidan’s fondest running memory was completing his first 50-mile trail run on an iconic route in New Hampshire called the “Huts Traverse.” He was working in the backcountry huts along the route at the time and knew many of the people he passed along the way. “I was pushing through the hardest effort I’d ever done in a place I loved, surrounded by community, and I remember being in awe the entire time.”
